Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01
Antananarivo

Arrive at Ivato International Airport where our Wildlife Safari representative will meet you with a warm welcome and escort you by private vehicle to your boutique hotel.

Overnight – Maison Gallieni

Day 02
Morondava

After breakfast transfer by private vehicle to Ivato Airport for your domestic flight to Morondava on the remote west coast. On arrival meet your guide for your transfer to your beach resort on Nosy Kely beach.

Overnight – Palissandre Cote Ouest Resort & Spa

Day 03
Morondava

Set off on a full day of sightseeing to explore the dry deciduous region to visit the Tsingy de Bemaraha National Park and view the extraordinarily statuesque ‘Avenue of the Baobabs ‘, an avenue of 800 year old Baobabs along a dirt road between Morondava and Belon’i Tsiribihina.

Day 04
Andasibe – Mantadia

Up early this morning for your domestic flight to Antananarivo. On arrival meet your Wildlife Safari representative and continue your journey by road travelling through typical hauts plateau countryside, rice paddies and Merina villages to the rainforest reserves in the province of Toamasina. Early this evening set off on a guided walk to observe the nocturnal creatures in the Vakona Private Reserve.

Overnight – Mantadia Lodge

Day 05
Andasibe – Mantadia

Andasibe – Mantadia is a rainforest National Park of two protected areas the Analamazaotra / Perinet Reserve and Mantadia National Park. Recognised for its population of Indri, the largest living lemur species with its haunting cry. Spend the day exploring the parks with your naturalist private guide.

Day 06
Palmarium Reserve

After breakfast set off for the Palmarium Reserve. Arriving at Manamnato take a resort boat transfer to your comfortable lodge situated on Lake Ampitabe in the Pangalanes, a network of manmade channels connecting freshwater lakes and lagoons.

Day 07
Palmarium Reserve

Take off on guided walk in the private reserve to explore the island and observe the many species of inquisitive and habituated lemur including the black, crowned and the Coquerel’s sifaka, view magnificent orchids and rare varieties of palm and carnivorous plants.

Overnight – Palmarium Lodge

Day 08
Antananarivo

Depart on the return boat journey to Manamnato travelling along the canals passing local villages and pirogues. Meet your driver for the road journey through the highlands to Antananarivo, the capital.

Overnight – Le Relais des Plateaux

Day 09
Depart Madagascar

Transfer by private vehicle to Ivato International Airport for your onward travel arrangements.
