What to expect
Experience a taste of Madagascar on our private journey exploring the rainforests of Andasibe Mantadia National Park so easily accessible from Antananarivo, the capital. As the only spot in the world where you will encounter lemurs in the wild, Madagascar is a destination like no other. Take walks with your naturalist guide through the parks to observe exotic flora and encounter unique fauna plus the chance to hear the haunting call and possibly a sighting of the tree dwelling Indri, the largest living lemur.
Your Journey Begins
Arrive at Ivato International Airport where our Wildlife Safari representative will meet you with a warm welcome and escort you to your private vehicle for your transfer to your hotel overlooking the Avenue of Independence.
Overnight – Palissandre Hotel & Spa
After breakfast set off on a scenic drive through the Malagasy countryside passing villages and paddies into the highlands to arrive at Andasibe National Park. Early this evening take a guided walk to observe the unique fauna and in search of the nocturnal species.
Overnight – Andasibe Hotel
Up early to explore Mantadia National Park renowned for its variety of birds, orchids, chameleons, fossa, and lemurs including the Aye Aye. Return to your hotel in the forest by the Vohitra River.
Overnight – Andasibe Hotel
Set off for the Analamazoatra Rainforest Reserve in search of the Indri, the largest living lemur, whose haunting cry echoes through the forest. In the afternoon drive to Antananarivo with time to explore the bustling city.
Overnight – Palissandre Hotel & Spa
Today your driver will transfer you to Ivato International Airport for your onward travel arrangements.
